The rim is also designed to cool the brake discs better with its open design. Better cooling increases the life of the brakes and provides safer braking. The rim's open design also makes it easier to remove mud, snow and ice, which may accumulate inside the rim during the winter season. Traditional turbine rims have precisely this problem and are therefore less suitable as winter rims.

ZAX EV531 is supplied for a number of electric cars with noise-reducing hubs, which also reduces corrosion between the aluminum alloy and the steel hub. On a Tesla S or model 3, measured internal noise is reduced by 1-2 dB, which is far better than all forms of noise reduction of the car.

ZAX EV531 has been tested according to the requirements of JWL, VIA and SAE J2530 that apply in the global market.

WHEEL CENTER RING THAT REDUCES 1-2 dB RUMMER NOISE ON TESLA 3, 3P AND MODEL S

We have noise tested completely identical rims with original hub versus 73.1 hub on the rim with an oversized hub ring that is tapped into the hub so that it is stuck. An oversized hub ring in hard plastic will squeeze around the hub and prevent vibration noise that you otherwise experience with standard original hubs on the rims. With our advanced CNC machine, we can mill the hub on most rims so that such a hub ring can be mounted. ZAX EV531, EV592 and EV555 come with such hubs as standard. Fits both Model 3 and Model 3 Performance. All wheel center rings are made oversized 73.3 for the 73.1 wheel center bore, to be forced into the wheel by a rubber hammer. For the model S we use 72.8 into 72.6 center bore wheels. This ring looks different than the below ring ( 3 and 3P).
